Masak Masak

Just like child’s play, the food at Masak Masak isn’t restricted to a single cuisine. Instead, Masak Masak is an Asian sensation with a focus on fun.

What’s in a name?

‘Masak Masak’ is the Malaysian version of kids playing house, but it’s based around cooking with plastic pots and pans and imaginary food. It comes from the word ‘masak’, which means ‘to cook’.

Make yourself at home

There’s no need to wait to be seated at Masak Masak. Come straight in; pull up a chair. Our menu is pretty straight forward, but if anything doesn’t make sense, just have a chat with one of our staff. If we had to classify our menu, we’d call it Malaysian hawker food with a twist, but we don’t like sticking to boundaries. Help yourself to chopsticks and cutlery or just dig in with your hands. Think of Masak Maska as an Asian night market; you can try a little bit of everything or stick to your favourites. If you just want to hang out with an imported beer or oriental cocktail, that’s cool too. Oh, and make sure you say g’day to our orangutan.
